Tonight was great!!
MUPS meeting at 5... it was fun! I have yet to figure out Drama Genevieve. She's a sweetie, but her friend scares me... we'll see. I signed up for a bunch of stuff, including the publicity committee, a trip to see Moving Out, working the bake sale table, and volunteering to help little local kids make Halloween costumes. I WISH I could have signed up to perform educational skits for local schools, but it was for tuesday and thursday afternoons, and I have class those days til 5. Major bummage!! Oh well. After the meeting I read in the library for an hour, then went back to the theater for an uneventful night of ushering.
It was COLD today!! 40 something. Not too bad, but yesterday was about 75, so the change was drastic. Apparently that's how it works out here!
I got back in time to pass Mary who pointed me to the basement party. Desola cooked us yummy Nigerian food!! We danced to Mary's iPod tunes, gave each other head massages (not to kt's brilliance of course, but they were still nice), played ping pong and foosball with Gen and Paul and Chris, took pornish pictures of Lindsay on the pool table (total Yvette moments!), and just hung out having fun. Then Mary next door and Desola and Lindsay and Gen went with Paul and Chris to hit up the party scene, and Mary across the row and I stayed to watch Harry Potter. But as I was flipping through my CD case, I mentioned "One of these days I'm gonna make you guys watch my play." And she says "Let's watch it now!!" So we did! It was so nerdy, but it was fun!! She totally loved it. She laughed at all the right things, and kept saying that Mitch sounded like Dr. Evil. And she had heard me talk about most of the gang already anyways, so she was able to say "OH that's so-n-so!" It was really cool. I've never shown it to anyone before now! It made me proud to know that the DVD of Noises Off can still make people laugh. Now I just need Clue!!
Aaaand that was my night. I wanted to talk on the phone with someone, anyone, cuz Fore is at her homecoming weekend, but no such luck. Still... great night!
